The Analogue brand announced today that pre-orders for their next handheld console named Pocket will begin on August 3. This small machine has everything you need in terms of hardware to play Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance games without emulation, by inserting the cartridge directly into the back as we did on the original consoles.

Using “adapter” cartridges, you can even enjoy Game Gear, Neo Geo Pocket Color, and Atari Lynx games. The Pocket has a 3.5-inch color screen with a resolution of 1600×1440.

But that’s not all. It has a standby mode, an “original display” mode to have the same graphic quality as at the time or the possibility of making music with the integrated synthesizer/sequencer.

If the 6-10 hour battery is not enough for you, you can use the dock to connect it to your TV (it’s kind of the Switch of portable consoles … unless). You can also play with 3 other Pockets if you connect them together if you have friends who like you love retro games.

On the other hand, you will have to put your hand in your pocket because it costs $ 199.99 (without accessories). It will be released in May 2021, so you have time to save.
