This September 22 marks the opening of pre-orders for the Xbox Series X | Xbox Series X|S but yesterday will be remembered by many gamers. This Monday, September 21, Xbox announced that the Bethesda teams will join those of Xbox and Xbox Game Studios.

The acquisition of ZeniMax Media concerns Bethesda Softworks, Bethesda Game Studios, id Software, ZeniMax Online Studios, Arkane, MachineGames, Tango Gameworks, Alpha Dog and Roundhouse Studios.

If the names don’t mean much to you, we can talk about games instead. These are indeed the studios that have developed The Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Wolfenstein, DOOM, Dishonored, Prey, Quake or Starfield.

The good news for Xbox Game Pass subscribers is that these iconic franchises will land day one on Microsoft’s platform. The new games will be released now on Xbox and PC (this is the philosophy already communicated by Xbox).

Regarding the outputs on PS5, these will be analyzed on a case by case basis. No fear for Deathloop and Ghostwire: Tokyo, the first remains a temporary PS5 exclusive (and PC release) while the second remains a PS5 exclusive (for the moment).
