An 8BitDo controller and support to play Xbox One games on your Android smartphone thanks to Project xCloud
Project xCloud is gradually arriving for everyone and we, therefore, see accessories appearing on the Internet to help us take advantage of it. If you have not followed, Project xCloud (currently in preview) allows users to play Xbox One games via smartphone (Android and iPhone) (highly 5G). Already more than fifty games available, with A Plague Tale, Destiny 2, Forza Horizon 4 & FM7 Gears 5, Halo MC & 5, Hitman, Hellblade, Ori, Civilization VI, Sea of Thieves or Yakuza 0.
To be able to use it, you need a compatible smartphone, Internet access, and a controller. In order to simplify the setup you are going to do to play, 8BitDo has jumped at the opportunity to offer a new controller + support in time to test the service.
The Sn30 Pro for Android consists of a controller with all the buttons of the classic Xbox One controllers, in a much more compact model and with symmetrical joysticks. It has 18 hours of battery life and a clip to hang your smartphone on the controller. It weighs 111g and obviously uses Bluetooth to connect to your mobile device.
We imagine that it is a bit heavy as a configuration, but we can also put the support on a table (to play in the same setup as the Switch).
8BitDo’s Sn30 for Android is on pre-order on Amazon US for $ 44.99. Expected release September 21, 2020 (at the same time as the Xbox Series X? The future will tell us).
