Bang & Olufsen is inaugurating the “Designed for Xbox Limited Series” of accessories that Xbox introduced last year with a premium headset.

The Beoplay Portal is a wireless headset that connects in seconds to your Xbox, whether it’s Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S, but also to your PC (with an Xbox dongle, or via Bluetooth). The icing on the cake, the headset has Bluetooth 5.1 so you can connect it to your smartphones or another console.nté Xbox last year with a premium headset.

The headset has a battery life of 12 hours with all features active (Xbox Wireless, Bluetooth and active noise reduction) and up to 24 hours with the Xbox Wireless removed. The good news is that it will only take 3 hours to fully charge.

Of course, Beoplay Portal comes with a microphone that can be used both in-game and on the phone. It’s configurable via the smartphone app to play with the balance and you can pre-configure audio modes to quickly switch when you change game types.

A trendy little feature is the ability to control the volume or pause the music, for example, by interacting directly with your headphones.

The headphone weighs only 282 grams and comes in 3 colours (Black Anthracite, Grey Mist and Navy Brass). As for price and availability, you’ll have to spend $499 to get it, with the possibility of ordering the Black Anthracite version now and pre-ordering the other two for delivery in May.
