I’d missed this great announcement and it wasn’t until the day this nugget was released that I realised it. Braid has a special place in the hearts of gamers, as it was one of the first ‘indie’ download games to succeed on consoles.

Older gamers will remember the Xbox Live Arcade, while the rest of you won’t see why downloading a video game onto a home console has such an effect on me. Jonathan Blow (love him or hate him, almost) and his studio worked on this Anniversary Edition, which is available from today on all platforms (PC, PS4/PS5, Xbox One/Series X|S, Switch, iOs, Android…).

On the programme: new graphics, but above all new puzzles and commentary from the developer, who was already well-versed at the time.

If you haven’t watched Indie Game The Movie, I’d advise you to do so straight away to understand what this little revolution was all about (and it’s a good opportunity to have a good cry).
