It took PlayStation 2.5 years to release its first PlayStation 5 “collector’s edition”. It won’t be The Last of Us, Uncharted, God of War or Horizon that will inaugurate this new marketing phase, but one of the most popular “cross-media” licenses of the moment: Spider-Man.

To celebrate the release of Spider-Man 2 (featuring Peter Parker, Miles Morales and Venom), this PlayStation 5 is decked out in red and black. It comes with a matching DualSense for your viewing pleasure. We’d have appreciated a little extra, like a different sound at start-up for example, but it’s nice to see that we’re not just going to be stuck with customized controllers.

While the console will be available from the PlayStation store for the small sum of €660 (front panels + DualSense + demo game), you can buy the 2 front panels separately for €65 each, or the DualSense for €80.

Pre-orders start today, in time for the game’s release in October 2023.
